Certification of prefabricated circular reinforced concrete manhole sections and catch basins including the
followings:
1)
Grade rings
used for final adjustment of manholes to grade;
2)
Flat slab tops
used in the construction of manholes for use in sewer, drainage, and water works;
3)
Risers and Conical Tops
used in construction of manholes for use in sewer, drainage, and water works;
4)
Base Sections
used in the construction of manholes used in sewer, drainage, and water works; and
5)
Steps and Ladders
used for providing access through manholes for use in sewer and water works.
CSA certification covers the manufacturing and performance requirements of products used for the assembly and
construction of circular vertical precast reinforced concrete manholes and structures used in sewer, drainage, and
water works under the following conditions:
a)
This certification program covers the manufacturing requirements in the factory and does not include
requirements for site backfill, or the relationship between field load conditions and the strength
requirements of the manhole & catch basin products and appurtenances.
b)
This certification program does not include certification to CSA A257 Standard.
